The CFO of ELT, a company from Zaragoza that manufactures power supplies for the lighting industry, has been awarded for the second consecutive year as within the top 100 CFOs by the spanish magazine Actualidad Económica.

On 13 July 2016, Actualidad Económica magazine handed over the awards to the top 100 financiers of Spain in Madrid. In this eighth edition the 25 most innovative CFOs were also awarded. The award is a recognition of the work carried out by financiers and it is also the only profession’s barometer. The classification is drawn from the results of a previous survey conducted by KPMG, with the participation of more than 1,100 professionals.

CFO functions are increasingly more strategic and their role has gained influence in the boards of directors. The skills of these professionals have grown and now go far beyond the search for funding and cost control. This ranking assesses the financial contribution and how it addresses the talent management and use of technology. Moreover, is evaluated the capacity for strategic influence and internal control of financial information with the reliability and traceability of data. Finally, the CFO style is rated: whether it prefers to grow the company through debt or equity. Also international growth is monitored.

ELT is proud that its chief financial officer has been awarded for the second consecutive year and of the financial policy being carried out recognition. It is also a reward for the work and effort of the whole team of the company, made over the years. The figure of the CFO is often of great importance to ELT as it is in charge of managing the financial needs and of designing plans to strengthen the balance sheet of the company.
